Your physical therapy session starts with a thorough assessment. At every visit, we will reassess your skeletal alignment, muscle recruitment/function and range of motion. Treatment will always include integrative exercises devoted to alleviating pain.

Our treatment will include integrative physical therapy exercises devoted to alleviating pain. Here is what you can expect from our team on your journey to being pain free:

  • One-on-one, hour-long visits, usually 1-2 time per week initially with decreasing frequency as you improve
  • Explanations of the rationale of what we’re doing -we encourage you to ask as many questions as you like!
  • Treatment includes soft tissue work, exercise prescription, education, and perhaps modalities
  • You will have “homework” that will change frequently as you progress
  • I teach ‘functional exercise’ whenever possible, which minimizes the number of exercises required to meet our goals
  • Everything will be written down or videoed for clarity

We focus on serving the Wood River Valley with undivided, one-on-one attention. Unlike other physical therapy clinics we come to you, so you never have to share your appointment with several other people. And you are always treated by a licensed physical therapist (never a technician) so a physician’s referral is unnecessary.

While visiting the Sun Valley area I had an unfortunate bad fall on my pelvis while skiing. Though it was excruciatingly painful I had the sense no bones were broken. Walking as well as lying on one side of my body was a very painful experience. Fortunately my friend Kim gave me two FSM treatments in two consecutive days. These had a huge positive impact in my recovery. After the first 15-minute treatment the extreme pain subsided but I was still only able to walk with the help of crutches. The next day after the second 30 min treatment I miraculously was able to walk without the crutches and the pain had subsided significantly. Being the engineer and understanding a bit of the body physiology, it was clear to me that the targeted electrical stimulation of the FSM treatment significantly advanced the healing process. I am grateful to Kim for helping in my moment of need.
